Thomas was born in 1967 and brought up in a rural village in China. His grandfather and father were both doctors and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and practised their skills for family and people of the village. From a young age Thomas followed his father when he went to pick raw herbs in the mountains. His dream was to become a doctor one day.

Thomas came to New Zealand in 1994 and worked as an Acupuncturist in Palmerston North for two years. In 1996 he successfully passed the qualifying examination and became a member of The New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists (NZRA) and a recognised ACC treatment provider.
Thomas registered his first company, TCM Development Ltd, in 1996, and on the 8th of November 1996 he established his first clinic, TCM Chinese Medical Centre, in Madras Street, Christchurch. In 1998 his TCM Chinese Medical Centre was moved to Riccarton Road. He also successfully set up TCM services for Queenspark Health Care and St Albans Medical Centre. There are about 10,000 patients on file at the TCM Chinese Medical Centre. Over 200 GP’s have referred patients to his clinic. He has employed and trained over 10 Acupuncturists.
Thomas has trained over 100 private students in Chinese Acupressure, Chinese Massage, Manipulation and Reflexology. In 1992, Guandong Province TV produced 21 sessions of Reflexology which were introduced by Thomas. He has conducted many presentations of Chinese Medicine Healthcare to local communities in Christchurch.

Thomas is very involved with the Chinese community. He was President of Christchurch Zhonghua Chinese Society for two years. He has been invited to many functions by the NZ Parliament and the Embassy of China and has had his photograph taken with Prime Ministers as well as with the President of China, Hu Jin Tao. He is the overseas youth committee representative of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Hubei. He is also a committee member of the Overseas Exchange Association of Guangdong Province.

During his study in Traditional Chinese Medicine, he not only focused on the classics, but also had followed-up with several eminent Chinese medicine practitioners for 10 years, and gained a lot of clinical experience. He is good at using of herbs and acupuncture to adjust the Yin and Yang. All of his selection of treatments are based on the overall concept and the differential diagnosis. Excellent communication skills can converse in English, Mandarin and Cantonese fluently. Extensive experience (over 5 years) Intermediate schoolteacher. Certificate of Bank 2 Intermediate school teacher 2005. Immigrated to NZ in 2006. Leona was training to be Colon Hydrotherapist in Feb 2011. Leona Lin also is the receptionist in our clinic.

Sunny is a Chinese New Zealand lawyer. She completed a law degree at the WuHan University of China in 1998.
Sunny immigrated to New Zealand in 2005. She initially worked in project development in the retirement village sector. Following this Sunny enrolled at the University of Waikato with an aim of obtaining a New Zealand law degree.
Sunny`s Chinese background gives her unique experience and skills that set her apart from other New Zealand legal representatives. Her knowledge of both New Zealand and Chinese legal systems, business and culture is a great strength in cross-communication and service.
